Submissions

• Regular submission should be kept to under 15,000 words. Book reviews should be between 2000 and 3000 words.
• Manuscripts must be written in English using American spelling.
• Manuscripts may be submitted as Microsoft Word file (.docx or .doc) or latex file (.tex)
• Please indicate the instances of figures and tables in the manuscript with call outs (i.e. --- Table 1 about here --)
• Please include the tables and figures as separate files in .png format.
• Please include an anonymous version of the manuscript. Please review the manuscript for self-identifying phrases.
• Avoid phrases in the first person whenever possible.
• The journal follows the Chicago Manual of Style.

The American Review of Political Economy (ISSN number 1551-1383) is an open access peer reviewed journal of Heterodox Economics.  Our focus is on all branches of heterodoxy, including Ecological Economics, Feminist Economics, Black Political Economy, Post Keynesian, Institutionalist, Marxian, Sraffian, Austrian,  Classical Political Economy, and Economic Geography.

The American Review of Political Economy welcomes high-quality submissions from all branches of heterodox economics, including Ecological Economics, Feminist Economics, Black Political Economy, Post Keynesian, Institutionalist, Marxian, Sraffian, Austrian, Classical Political Economy and Economic Geography
